Hello, I’m John Donabedian, and I’m passionate about photography. Whether it’s bringing out the subtle attributes of a product, the personality of a portrait, the energy of a performance, or the beauty of a car’s design, I draw upon my intuition to guide how the subject best presents itself, and my experience to know how to capture that best-self in its best-light.
I’m not one to settle for the ordinary. I love experimenting and pushing the boundaries of my craft. One of my passions is capturing motion, what I call “the expanded moment”. Whether it’s a car or a person literally passing through time, I find these long-exposure images reveal a deeper, beyond the surface, essence of the subject. See what you can see in the Air gallery.
In post-processing, I take great care to enhance the aesthetics of each image using Photoshop. I often composite multiple images together to create a level of ultra-realism that can leave an elevated impression. See one example below, and more at my Image Evolution gallery.
Beyond photography, I’m also a Multimedia Producer. My recent work involves blending my dynamic photography and videography with motion graphics and candid product reviews to craft persuasive customer experience stories for social media and online marketing. See samples from “Me-n-My Car” here.
